Curse (Gift)
The “curse” is genetic, passed down unintentionally from Ren Evans to her child, Ryuusa Evans. For Ren, the "curse" manifested not in a birthmark or any other obvious sense- But in the fact that she lived in different worlds as entirely separate beings with eerily similar backstories. At a specific point, she was able to realize that she lived in other worlds and was able to piece together that she wasn’t like every other human in her world.
Unfortunately for her, and for her child, the "curse worsened" and manifested fully in Ryuusa. Ryuusa has a physical manifestation of what appears to be a tightly wrapped ribbon on their forearm wrapping up their wrist and to their elbow. It’s just discoloration like a birthmark when not active.
The image below is the default appearance of the marking, the appearance it usually settles into. It can and will shift around, moving on their skin like a snake sliding around, especially if you stare too long or they are being actively pulled into another world. It will glow a bio-luminescent blue in the situation of changing worlds.

Note While my character will refer to this as a curse, it is in fact not a curse and cannot be removed from them via purification of any sort.

FAQ
What does the "curse" do?
On a base level it instills the forced need for travel. It also slows their physical aging compared to others in their life, maturing to adulthood then slowing their aging in their original world. And it grants them the capability to live and die in other worlds without any repercussion to their living status in their birth world.
How does the "curse" work?
The "curse" works via the bloodline of the Evans family and through precious gemstones, such as onyx, emerald, amethyst, diamond, ruby, topaz, and so on. As long as Ryuusa is in possession of a gemstone, Ryuusa can travel via the "curse". There is no way-point necessary, the "curse"-haver becomes the portal. All that is on them, travels with them. Ryuusa’s travel belongings listed at the bottom of this FAQ.
Can they travel at will?
Yes and no. Let me explain- While just above I said that as long as a gemstone is in hand they can travel, it’s not really at will, it’s more, at a whim. They will, over the course of time, gain control over this power. As it currently stands, they cannot force their way back home to their own universe, but they can force themselves into other universes or back to specific universes they've died in. But there's a condition to that- someone has to be currently alive that has ties to them.
Does the "curse" grant any extra abilities?
It’s generally verse dependent, but other than making the "cursed" one fit into the world, no. General combat abilities don’t really increase. Everything that Ryuusa knows how to do, that isn't universe specific (like how to use the abilities gained) is from training in their original world.
Where did the "curse" come from?
None really know, but for meta info, it is a gift that comes from a well intending ethereal being seeing Ren make a wish on a passing comet to “see what life would be like in other worlds”.
Will Ryuusa’s kids have the "curse"?
It is very likely, but Ryuusa is working on figuring out how to fix that and make it something of a gift rather than a burden for their family line.
Can Ryuusa take anyone in or out of universes?
Yes and no. So, Ryuusa can't do it consistently, they've only done it one time in their entire lifetime. But it is something they hope to one day do with consistent reliability.
Can Ryuusa die?
Yes. As much as I say they can't die, they are still capable of true death. There is one instance in which they could well and truly die. Killing them at their "re-spawn" would kill them indefinitely. Their true re-spawn point is their childhood bedroom in their mother's home. But alternate points they use is their own bedroom as an adult living alone.
Can you go into detail on how souls work for your muse?
Ryuusa's soul is a strange one. If their mother's soul is a mirror facing a mirror, images scattered back and forth into one another infinitely allowing them to exist in other worlds... Ryuusa's is like... Well, I'm not great with metaphors and similes, I suppose- So I'll just skip the description and go straight into what it is. Ryuusa's soul is always in a state of inconstancy, ever changing. If the soul is a reflection of your body and mind, theirs is always changing and molding differently like the hands of time. Backwards, forwards, changing enough to show stability and in the next changing once more. This also means that powers that alter the soul or change it's shape may only work temporarily and soon Ryuusa will change to adapt to this new alteration. It is how they survive worlds that alter the soul.
At base level, is this just an isekai style indulgence character with video game like respawning?
Yes.

To truly understand King, you need to understand where they come from. Let’s start in the past, specifically into the past of King’s mother. Prior to their birth, there were 3 key people in the backstory to this Evans’ family story, and after their birth there are 4 more key figures that shaped who they’ve become.
Ren Ame Evans, Rina Maria Holly, Usoma Hayashi, Adriel Grene, and Satori Hinode, Natsuki Hinode, and Yuuta Hinode. Let’s get into their story now…

1997-2008 (TW: Abuse, neglect, parentification)
Alexis Lucy Evans is an American woman who was born to a southern family in America. To a father who never wanted a daughter, a mother who never grew up, a grandmother who craved control, and a step-grandfather who couldn’t protect her enough. Alexis grew up for the most part, unloved, and abused by her family, eventually cutting ties at 16 years old and moving out. She changed her name to Ren Ame Evans, (taking on the name under the impression it meant "Pure Rain" but mistakenly giving herself the kanji of a different meaning entirely), abandoning the name that her father had forced upon her, and the name that haunted her nightmares. The teen struggled through her years of living alone, but eventually she had enough money to travel to Japan at 18, almost 19 years old.2009-
Prior to this, though, at 12 years of age, Ren made a wish that changed the course of her life and one other that encountered her. A wish upon a passing comet in the sky, a prayer. “I wish I could see what other worlds were like.” Was the single biggest wish made haphazardly by a girl that didn’t believe in any gods, or in the beauty of humanity. A girl who watched anime into the late hours of the night and who curled up with the rising sun’s rays. This wish came into effect immediately, mirroring her soul and scattering it across various worlds. Her life now existed in various worlds that were merely written stories in her original self’s world. She wouldn’t come to know this for several decades.2013-2015
Her closest friend was an American woman named Rina Holly. The two of them did everything and anything together once they met when Ren was 16. They had an apartment together, traveled together, generally were an unruly sort of teens bonded over their similar family lives. They lived a life constantly bordering on being poor, until one day they weren’t. Ren had managed to hit the jackpot of all motherloads for what she did as her most lucrative job (coding and hacking for fancy corporations). Truly still just children at heart, Ren and Rina bought their houses, and traveled countries together. Frivolous spending and excessive choices of life lead the two to interesting paths. While Rina primarily stayed in America, Ren often spent the majority of her time in Japan. That is where she met Usoma Hayashi. This was also just a few months before her 19th birthday.2016-2018 (TW: Blood, gore, death for this paragraph)
Usoma Hayashi was… an interesting man. And the way they met and changed one another was even worse. Ren had never been the best with moral codes and being an upstanding citizen. True, she didn’t go out of her way to cause trouble for people or to break the laws of the country she was in… But when it came to herself, or if she would tell on anyone, her morals were incredibly bendable, so much so that they may as well have been a soggy noodle in terms of flexibility. One day, she was out jogging late at night and came across someone in a dark tight alleyway. She slowed, intending to move around them, and a knife glinted in the air. Her reflexes were fast, thankfully, and the knife missed her neck by plunging straight through her hand, she managed to twist the knife away and knock out her would be killer. Unfortunately, or fortunately, she took him back to her house, with no intention of turning him in to the police, she intended to find out why he attacked her. Not really getting a coherent answer, or much of anything. A twisted sort of feelings began between the two lost souls, on Usoma’s part he felt a strange affection for her since she could fight off his urges. For Ren’s side- She just felt enamored with the darkness inside of him, like she could fix him or something equally ill thought out. He spent several attempts trying to kill her, and she spent several years cherishing him regardless of his urges. Deep inside she held a twisted sort of love for how wildly he could express such murderous urges but have trouble communicating things like joy and sadness, and she understood that on some level, always a little twisted inside of herself.
Eventually though, Usoma vanished from her life, disappearing like he always did, but with a sense of finality about it. He had taken his things from her home, and no longer could she contact him at where she knew his apartment to be. It was like he was a ghost again, a mere memory in her life. Taking this as he wasn’t okay to stay with her anymore, she moved on, leaving an obvious trail in her wake for him to follow when he was ready. Putting her apartment up for sale, the woman packed up, moving to Tokyo. Ren was 21 when they parted ways on ambiguous feelings. Perhaps that was for the best, the two of them were far too dependent on one another. She doesn’t know what has been going on with him away from her, and she has to force herself not to learn because if she learns anything other than he’s happy and healthy, then she just might break. Ren fully believes Usoma still watches her from afar, but she isn’t sure why he hasn’t tried to get her attention either… If he ever returned, she’d take him back in a heartbeat, not a question of where he’s been, only asking if he was ready for dinner.2018-2021
Changing gears, Ren focused on her future, using her connections and maybe a bit of blackmail- eventually coming to form her own major business company, building up over the years until she was big enough to call it a corporation and herself the CEO of it all. This took several years for her, and she was now 24. Her best friend Rina was living a blissful life back in America as a rich divorce lawyer, and the two would often meet up to have fun together.2022-2023
Ren decided she was tired of living alone, she lived a short romantic life and despite the downsides, she viewed Usoma as being her first and last foray into the world of romantic and sexual attachments. And given all her wealth and success, Ren made a decision she never thought she would have the luxury of doing. She decided she wanted a kid. Of course, with no partner capable of giving her such a life, she decided to seek out clinics, and eventually her child was conceived. Carrying her child to full term, her daughter was born a few days after Ren's 26th birthday. She was happy to discover her kid was born happy and healthy, unlike how she was as an infant. It truly was a relief that the life she carried wasn’t hurt.

2023-
Ryuusa King Evans was born. A happy, healthy daughter to Ren Evans. Raising her daughter in warmth and adoration, all the things she lacked to have in her home growing up. She did make a grand point of keeping her daughter away from her American family though, knowing they would harm her in some way. This did leave Ren without a strong support group for raising her daughter, but with consistent visits from Rina, and the comfort of never having to worry for anything, Ren raised her kid fine. Loving household, and a busy home, they wanted for nothing together and they spent plenty of shared hours bonding and enjoying each other’s company. Ren was, in King’s mind, a great mother despite her traumatized past.
2029- (TW: Implied Death for this paragraph)
At age 6, Ryuusa Evans was walking with her mother, and as some kids do, got excited. She saw what she thought was something sparkling in a bush ahead, and released her mother’s hand to rush off to the bushes, only to vanish before Ren’s eyes as soon as she reached the edge of the leafy shrub. For Ren, her kid had just disappeared into thin air- For Ryuusa, she had touched a lost amethyst necklace in the brush and was consumed by the “curse” and appeared in a new world. She was without her mother, terrified, and surrounded by people who were equally alarmed at her appearance. Someone screamed “demon”, and suddenly there was a white hot sensation in her bones, and she was back home, crying by the bush with her odd birthmark covered arm glowing bright blue, almost like the birthmark on her skin was bio-luminescent.
Her mother immediately took her home, worrying over her the entire day and night. That night when she was reading her daughter a bedtime story of a red-haired princess of a far away land, memories blazed through her mind. Ren realized that the wish she made at 12 became reality, and now her daughter was caught up in the same circumstance but… somehow worse. Ren spent the next several years figuring it all out, discovering all she could about her lives, about her child’s curse, and quickly, she realized that she only ever had one Ryuusa, one daughter. She couldn’t talk to her other selves, they had no knowledge of her or the fact she was the original, but she could learn from them. So she took the knowledge that she could use, teaching Ryuusa how to care for herself, how to defend herself, what to carry around, and how to make it back home safely. She taught her child how to fight, how to cook, survive, exist, and everything that she could. Almost like she was the one going to an unknown fate.

2032-
Ren kept Ryuusa as safe as she could in her world, hiring bodyguards constantly. She forbid gifts of jewelry for fear of gemstones activating and taking her away for good. Ren willingly appeared as a stubbornly aggressive mother, over protective in the public eye, it was definitely quite the reputation to have for the young CEO. Ren was constantly amassing strange looks from those in her circles and in the circles of the underworld as she pursued every avenue she could to trying to find a cure for something she didn’t even know could exist. Unfortunately every rock turned over was empty, every lead tracked down led to nonsense. Whatever granted this ability didn't grant it often, and likely did it on a whim. Through her efforts, Ren did discover something amazing. She discovered the village called Lumina in England and found within it that magic was real and not just a hoax. Upon exploring the village, Ren ended up discovering the Grene family and enlisting their aid. Ryuusa was 9 when Ren introduced her to Adriel Grene (11 years old at the time). Due to his family’s helpfulness in being able to at the very least mitigate the risk for her daughter, Ren encouraged Adriel to be around Ryuusa as a friend.
2033-
Ryuusa was devastated to learn that her new friend Adriel had no knowledge of anime, due to his living in the secluded village of Lumina in England. So she took it upon herself to teach him all she knew, using dubbed when she found it necessary and subbed when she could get away with it. Still forbidden from jewelry, the two of them managed to make it years without incident. Adriel reluctantly absorbing his friend’s enthusiasm about her culture, and being forcibly taught to speak the Japanese language, but given no aid on how to read it. Ryuusa taught him what she felt was needed for him to at least begin absorbing her favorite parts of her culture. The two bonded like peanut butter and marshmallows, not exactly a pair you’d likely always choose to stick together, but often a favorite when they were. They got along shockingly well for how unlikely their friendship started out.
2035-
On their third rewatch of Ouran High School Host Club, Ryuusa was excitedly talking to Adriel about the cosplay convention she wanted to go to with him. And Adriel pulls out his two new rings, intending to show them off to her, and grant her a gift. The young teen was proud of the beautiful gift he got and wanted to show her how he had their two gemstones fixed into a set of rings to commemorate their 3rd year of friendship. While the anime played in the screen behind them, Ryuusa’s eyes grew wide and a horrified look crossed her face as she unwittingly touched his hands that offered the ring to her. In an instant, the two teens vanished from their cozy couch, and were swept up in the world that they just had playing on the TV screen.
The two children (12 & 14) appeared in an oddly cutesy looking room, surrounded by girls in frilly dresses and men in colored suits. The world was very much like their own, from what they could tell in the time they were there. The only major difference was the horrifying realization that the sparkles that appeared when one would wink, or the flowers that bloomed in romantic scenes, were very much a real thing and the sparkles were horrifyingly sharp. Neither let go of the other the entire time they were there, and soon enough the ring clasped between their hands consumed another gem and they warped back to the couch in a heap of limbs and absolute terror. Ryuusa was relieved that it was a harmless world and a short stay, and Adriel appeared to be terrified at the idea of it ever happening again, refusing to let her touch him again since he still had the second ring. Normally Ryuusa would’ve been upset- But instead she was excited. Thrilled even. She had just brought someone into another world with her! She had never managed to do that before, and she was ever so eager to try again.
2035-2037 (TW: Death)
Ryuusa has constantly been incapable of recreating the first fluke of snatching someone with her into a universe. But after that one relatively safe fluke, she’s grateful each time that she touched a gemstone she wasn’t in physical contact with Adriel or that he didn’t come with her if she was touching him. After teleporting to OHSHC with him, she rarely encountered a safe realm again. Falling into AOT, straight into the jaw of a titan, being sucked into the abyss of space in Cowboy Bebop, and various other terrifying deaths at the hands of “nature” in whatever world she found herself warped to. Other times it was the whim of those around her in a universe that caused her death, giving her a distrust of others in worlds aside from her own. After nearly dying because a panicked “hero” type shoved her into danger on a reflex to protect themself, or nearly dying because a “villain” found it funny to toy with her. Due to this, Ryuusa grew to resent the worlds she wound up in for a period. Her tendency to carry her bag around became more common, and her willingness to carry gemstones rose despite her mother’s protests.
2038- (TW: Imprisonment)
This is the point where Ryuusa became King.
Only 15 years old, Ryuusa found herself at the end of her ropes. Tired, exhausted, just in general weary of the way her life had been going. Most would just say that she was being silly, she’s young, she’s got her whole life ahead of her. But with the lack of sleep and the constant traveling between worlds, Ryuusa was starting to lose her mind. She could feel what little sanity she had slipping away. And this was just the final straw for her. To explain the current situation, let’s go back to her world. She had been about to go swimming, celebrating with her mother, her “Aunt” Rina, Adriel, and his family, of her accomplishment in school of winning the cross country tournament. But of course, as with all things lately for Ryuusa, something had to go wrong. This time it was simply that someone else at the pool had the brilliant idea of making an intrusion on the group and their happy times. Now King knew why her mother always insisted upon reserving an entire location every time they went somewhere like this. A single excited involvement of a stranger, their hand touching King’s shoulder, and King was vanishing- falling towards the chlorinated water, with a pulling sensation coming from her arm. The person’s bracelet with a gemstone embedded in it had activated her curse once the surface of the gem touched her skin, and Ryuusa was teleporting away. This caused a major problem back in her world, something that Ren had to shell out an excessive amount of money and resources to successfully silence. But let’s keep the focus on Ryuusa for now, because that’s what you’re here for anyway.
Ryuusa appeared in the world, dry, in a swimsuit, and alone. As always- but the clothing was the biggest issue. Given that she had no way back, and no supplies, things were… tense to say the least. She wound up stealing clothes from a home and doing her best to blend into the world that she teleported to. It was hard, this was the most dangerous world that she had wound up in, not for anything actually going on in it, but simply because she was unable to return home with ease, and she had none of her supplies... She set off on a journey to find the nearest source of gemstones, be it a noble's mansion or a dirty mine, Ryuusa did not want to be there any longer.
Eventually, Ryuusa wound up in a prediciment- She somehow... became the leader?? of a gang? Believe her, she has no clue how she managed it, but she ran this little gang around like a teenager who was angry at god and the world would. With a lot of reckless rebellious activity like harrassing people and smearing paint on people's houses, just in general being a menace and bothering people. Eventually some nobleman came up fussed enough about her, and the guards snatched her up like a wet kitten.
Shenanigans ensued and Ryuusa declared "I am King! And you can't hold me!" and wow if that wasn't just the dumbest reason to ever change your name, sounding like an edgy little... teenager... well, that's what she is. Her gang busted her out and she ran like they lit the place on fire- which.... they had.
King ran that gang for the better part of half a year in that world, discovering new things about herself, and her preferences in people. Turned out she didn't care if people thought she was a guy sometimes, and she really didn't care what gender her partner was. True, she figured girls were softer and nicer to kiss, but she had no true preferences when it came down to it.
Eventually, at the seventh month of being there, King touched a jade necklace and vanished before her entire gang, feeling the pull she managed a "Bye guys!" before disappearing before their eyes. She hopes they're alright but she hasn't exactly tried to go back there, not really sure what world it was in the first place.
2039-2040
Upon returning home the prior year, King did several things in the following order, exactly. First they buried themselves in reading mangas from the years that her mom was about her current age. She was 17, and so she was reading things from back in 2015 and 2016. And in the middle of the pile of books, she came out to her mom as pansexual and demifemale, declaring they wanted to go by their middle name now and occasionally they/them. Her mom just kinda watched her, accepting it, amused but not questioning what King was saying. If her kid wanted to read age old manga, and declare she- They? were a tiny gay, who was she to argue. She'd love her kid no matter what. Still- It's better to support a hobby than to leave someone to fend for themselves. So she showed King older mangas like One Piece (they had already started that one), Katekyo Hitman Reborn (watched that when they were 14), and others before eventually sliding over her entire shelf of Jujutsu Kaisen. Manga and animated series both. This quickly became King's entire fixation as it was the only one King hadn't seen yet. Near obsessed with entering the worlds they read about, they started to pour through every page they could get their hands on. Their mother indulged them, and King began travelling again, excited this time- since they had their bags, gemstones, and they weren't going to get stuck like they had before.
King would travel in and out of many different universes in this year, but the one they frequented most was the Jujutsu Kaisen world, eternally determined to see if they could change a world from it's plotline and manage to return back to that exact changed plotline universe. They don't manage to discover if they can or can't, not for certain anyway, because the next year something unexpected happens.

2041-2044 (TW: Violence, Sexual content, Government Rebellions, Poverty, Starvation, Child Death, Detailed Descriptions of Death, Timeline shenanigans.)
Once again, King is up to some outrageous bullshit. Once again, trouble finds them. But this time, things hammer out just a little differently. The world is a world of magic and fairy tales, of spells and swords, dresses and diplomats. A world that King loved dearly. It didn't seem to be any specific trope or universe, which King embraced wholeheartedly, an unfamiliar land full of unfamiliar things. The unknown was never terrifying, it was exhilarating.
They stepped from the trees they teleported into, and blue eyes set upon the most beautiful manor. Architecture wasn't King's favorite thing, but they could appreciate the asymmetry and the logic of how everything flowed organically like a home that was built upon for purpose and not aesthetic. This family was clearly not just one of pretending, but instead one who worked through the years to gain what they had. Glancing down at their clothes, they wore a rather unusual attire for the timeline they were clearly now in, but... second guessing wasn't in their nature and hesitating on such an interesting choice was for the more boring in life. They rapt a single fist on the massive manor doors and waited patiently. It took time, but the door swung open to not some old man in a suit, but a young man in a suit? A butler. King was granted entry and after a while, she was granted an audience with the lord of the manor. She found out the name of the country was Eflor, and they referred to the world as a whole under the name Viagall. <Under Construction>
2044- (TW: Grief, Survivor's Guilt, mention of supression of memories)
It has currently been six months since they were rejected from the universe they built a life in. King has recovered best one can after loving and living so freely. They hold Satori's last words close to their heart, and every time they travel they keep her in mind. But they are doing their best to do as she asked of them, doing their best to not let her be their only love and not let her entire life die with her and their kids...

King of Curses King isn’t particularly special in this universe. It's set in the future of current times, since Ren (King's Mom) is a 1997 born woman, King being the age they are, means they were born in 2023.
Aside from their world being technically the future- they aren't all that special to themselves. They are exceptional at running, having won a medal in cross country for every event they’ve participated in. Their stamina is strong and she’s got good judgment for unexpected obstacles, having fast reflexes.
Please do note, that the default also has her curse, which is explained and elaborated on in the bio. This curse is consistent across all verses with additions to each verse.
Something slightly mentioned in the bio, if King is killed in any universe with no hope of being revived, they will be shunted from that universe back to their own, body reforming in an instant around their gifted soul. In most cases, they don't return to that specific instance of that world, but in some instances (discussed between muns) they can return repeatedly to that instance like an immortal that won't give up.Typical Tuesday is for fandoms that will eventually have a verse, are a crossover verse, or are not in the modern world that King is living in. This is my default for verses if your fandom isn’t already listed. King will not immediately adapt to your world, and will be experiencing a delayed response or will otherwise not adapt into your universe beyond being a “cursed” human.

Dragon's Eyes

King still isn’t sure what ability or if they're even still human after entering this world for the third? second? fourth? something... time. All they know is they can see the curses, and their cursed arm and their eyes ached for ages upon arriving this time. It was like her blood boiled from inside their veins. (This will be modified to be lore accurate when they learn)The story goes as follows. King's first appearance into the world was as a six year old bright eyed child, snapping into existence in the middle of the Zenin clan household during the early years of the Heian Period (specifically the year 801). The child barely could process the words Demon and Curse before she would be annihilated, head severed from her body and her consciousness snapped back to her own world with her body crumbling to nonexistence in that universe. She didn't even have time to adjust to being whatever she was originally going to be in that world before she was forcibly removed. Fortunately, or unfortunately, King does not remember this time clearly.
The second time King appeared in the world, she was a 17 year old girl (detailed in the backstory at 2039), and she appeared in a more secluded space, alone, but not entirely unprepared. Though they weren't aware yet, it was still the Heian Period, year 818. She was safer than the first time, she didn't distinctly appear as a modern times child, but instead her clothes this time allowed her to blend in, even if her sword brought her to standing out a little. She couldn't figure it out for a while, why some people walked as though she didn't exist and others watched her with wary eyes. But she was a curse in this timeline, the curse borne from the fear of being forgotten. Curse of Athazagoraphobia. Her cursed energy levels were that of a grade one curse, but she wasn't attacking anyone, so the sorcerers of that time stayed clear of her for a period. She didn't know where she was, or what she was, unfamiliar with the era of the world she was in. But soon she came to discover her abilities when her arm was cut off in a battle, and another time when she was attacked by a sorcerer looking to gain more experience in battle. Through fighting for her life over the months she lived in that world, King eventually overheard the name Sukuna and King of Curses, attending one of the festivals that was held in his infamous honor. They eventually managed to earn enough money in the world, and pay for a gemstone from a merchant who didn't understand the true value it held to the swordsman before him. They let themself be forgotten by everyone, expanding out their cursed ability of being but a fleeting memory in people's minds and vanished back home before the merchant's eyes, leaving him confused on why he had an overabundance of money but no gemstone that he had moments prior.
The third time King traveled to this world, King falls into the world- tripping off of a high building despite her original aim being to just walk out of her house in her world, her misfortune striking once again. This time her curse activates again, and she has no idea why. Her curse had the idea to transform her and make her a bit more memorable than before. She was no longer a full curse, but half human half curse. Same curse as before, her appearance the exact same to the first time she was alive in the universe. The current year being 2018, she recognized the universe quickly enough and tried her best to adapt.
Since appearing in 2018, she has flickered in and out of the world into different timelines of the JJK universe, the universe being the one her body frequently adapts into the most out of every universe she's been in. Her various points of entry are the following years: 2006, 2010, 2016, and 2017.
They do have a preference for early 2018 or early 2006 though, since from their perspective everything goes downhill near the end of each of those years.Abilities gained: King has gained the cursed eyesight (ability to see curses), and their arm has altered to be able to pull “string” from the mark, and it’s able to be used in a cursed technique of gripping the end of the string like it's got a needle on it, and flicking it with their middle finger and thumb to shoot it out to pierce the target. They've found they have rather excellent aim. (Will be expanded upon if combat rp is desired)
They also have the talent to create a barrier but have to be taught how to create a curtain. When they use their technique powers, their eyes glow and their cursed arm glows a light blue like it’s bio-luminescent. Due to their birth gift’s preservation of King, even if their glowing pieces (arm and eyes, or any pieces really) were damaged or removed, they would restore in time much like one using Reverse Cursed Technique, but King has no immediate control over it and cannot explain it easily without outing themself as being of another world or being half curse.
To explain further on that...
King upon arriving to the world becomes half curse, the half cursed side of them originating in the fear of being forgotten that resides in humanity, from their second time visiting the world. This unfortunately causes the side effect of King being rather forgettable in this universe, taking your eyes off of them for extended periods means you are liable to forget they exist. But don’t worry, the second you look back or they catch your attention again it’ll all return to you. This unfortunate situation taps into their own fear of being forgotten, and they exude more cursed energy than they would like to around others, attracting unwanted attention passively.

King's favorite characters and why?
Aoi Todo - His passion and abilities bring a smile to King's face. They grow excited every time he's on screen and much like someone who enjoys a good sports game, they jump up and cheer at the screen when he's doing literally anything on the screen.
Toge Inumaki - His character design drew them in first, but they actually find it incredibly interesting to figure out his speech patterns. They do wish that the show had included JSL or something of the sort for him to express more, but that's why they're glad they can travel the universes.
Satoru Gojo - King has mixed feelings about this one, but ultimately he is still a favorite. He reminds them of someone in their past, physically, but attitude wise he reminds them of themself. Or how they hope they would act if they had a little less anger in their bones. They often look away from the screen or focus elsewhere when his eyes come into focus, not for hating them, but in fact for feeling all too entranced and preferring their sanity.

Awakening Dying Will Sky flames
King has Sky flames, even though they wish they had literally any other flames.
They have no Dying Will Earth flames.They have ties to the mafia, but only in the sense that they are aware of it and have no qualms with being involved in it. However, they are considered a civilian or mercenary in this world due to not being of an official family.

Due to how their curse works, they appear the same age in TYL as well. Your character may note this and use this information to their advantage.Story:
The first time King appeared in the world it wasn't very long. They repeatedly tried to pass through the world, wanting to try and see if they could meet their mother Ren in the world, knowing that she wouldn't be their real mother they still wanted to try and meet her. But every time they would pass through a world where she may have existed, King was forcibly shunted out of it, like the fabric of existence was rejecting King and Ren living together in any world without it being their original world. This is where King came to the conclusion they can't exist in the same timeline that their mother has lived.
Unknown to them they caught the eye of specific people, blipping in and out of existence through various KHR timelines.

King's favorite characters and why?
Byakuran - At first it was the cute faces he would make on the screen, but over time his abilities were revealed and the draw of "his powers are like mom's" pulled them in. Eventually as they grew older, the desire to meet him and befriend him grew like one idolizes a hero. Kicking feet in their bed and decorating a shelf with merchandise of him. They knew he was at one point a villain in the story, but King never fancied themself a hero either.
Gokudera Hayato - The first time King watched (and read) the series, King was 14. Gokudera was an immediate favorite, his fire, his passion and determination... His "bad boy" attitude coupled with the fact he was a "total nerd", the duality of that was endearing to them and King found themselves adoring him without even trying. Which meant it was a hopeless endeavor to convince them that he wasn't as cool as they thought he was. They may or may not have spent all too long reading Gokudera x Y/N writings as a teen, which is something they'll never admit sober.

In this world, King isn’t anything spectacular. They don’t gain hacker knowledge, or the incredible ability to be a pro-gamer, or even the capacity to perform on a stage. She’s just normal and rich.
King does however, have the infamous fandom known reset ability. Or more specifically, less the ability to reset, and more the ability to remember every reset normally. The reset interferes with memory, and King isn’t normally from that world, so they retain their knowledge of the world and the prior route from resetting. This does mean that they are burdened with every death or danger that befalls everyone, and themself, before the reset.
Every route they can, they get invited to the party, answering that they will join even if the MC would have naturally failed to recruit them if they were an NPC to be recruited.Note: King is not MC, and Resets can and will still happen without King's consent.

707 Saeyoung Choi - They understand why he is the way he is, but they also favor him because of his fandom theorized capability to recall each reset happening. King also has a weak heart for pretty redheads with golden eyes.

Being in the MHA/BnHA world granted King a quirk, and stole their pinky toe joints. Here is the quirk details. They currently have little to no affiliation with any particular side. This will be edited later if this factor changes.Quirk Name: Inspiration
Quirk Type: Emitter
Quirk Description: Ability allows user to amplify others' quirks. Absolutely not a powerful quirk unless paired with another with a combative quirk. Through physical contact they can choose who to amplify with their quirk. Taking an emitter quirk user from say, simply sparking tiny sparks of dying flames in their hands to full on firing average fireballs from their hands. Does not require constant contact but it lessens drawbacks if contact can be maintained for at least five seconds to thirty seconds.
Can be used on enemies as a method of overriding their control on their own quirk, which can cause fear and/or panic in enemies. Prefers not to use this as it can be very dangerous due to higher risk of casualties.
Next to impossible for user to amplify quirks that are physical mutation quirks, but instead it amplifies endurance for these quirk users, allowing them to push past their prior physical limits for the duration of the quirk.
Amplifying transformation quirks are also uniquely challenging but not as hard as mutation. User can amplify things like skin hardening to being skin indestructibility or for a quirk like animal transformation you could either a)hold the transformation longer and/or b) have an easier time transforming between various forms in rapid succession.
Quirk Limits: Must make physical contact and maintain contact for five straight seconds up to thirty seconds. Cannot "buff" more than one companion at a time but can repeatedly buff the companion that the quirk is active on by momentary physical contact while buff is still in effect or a repeated prolonged contact as mentioned above.
Quirk Drawbacks: Quirk has zero benefits for user, all drawbacks are as follows: insomnia (which King already has), late night munchies (fuel for quirk), and inability to fully cancel out own quirk unless unconscious in which case the quirk cancels out anyway. Which means just being in the presence of the user amplifies someone's quirk at least a little, kind of like either a caffeine rush or a small anxiety buzz.
Quirk Appearance: Prior to physical contact, the hand will sparkle like a sparkler firecracker when actively trying to use quirk, as well as cursed birthmark glowing blue, but this is not a constant when not trying to actively use quirk. No other appearance changes for quirk activation. Sparkle can be hidden under gloves to hide when activating quirk, but it will cause an itching sensation for the user like bugs are inside their gloves.
Changes once trained in quirk use: Able to activate quirk on others without physical contact but until contact is made target must be in line of sight, if line of sight is broken before contact can be made benefits of "buff" are taken away.

King's favorite characters and why?
Ashido Mina - Her energy is contagious. She adores the references that the character brings on screen, and finds her quirk to be incredibly cool. It's a bonus that she is part of the Bakusquad, because King considers themself about as difficult as Bakugo to get along with. If only because the two have a temper.
Dabi Todoroki Touya - From day one they were like "Hey, he looks like me." but the more they found out about him, and the more they learned- They got even more invested in his story and how it plays out.

The Catalyst

Encounters upon falling into this verse for the first time are forbidden due to the complexity of how they entered. If you want to write a scene with King consisting of this- please send me a message and we can discuss it, but no promises are being made here.King never met Truth on purpose. But her curse decided that upon entering the world, she had to surrender something over to the god in exchange, a gift and a payment for the ability to protect herself in the world. Given that her curse is a gift from a god more powerful, the curse chose what to give up. Her legs were lost as payment, “you value your freedom to travel, so they are the toll for seeing the Truth”.
She isn’t shy about how shitty that situation is to her, but she knows once she leaves the world she won’t suffer the aches of her limbs being gone. Still, while she is there, she has excellent mechanical limbs that give her mobility, and she has the same skill to transmute as any other alchemist who’s seen the gate.If examined closely King’s circles and alchemy wouldn’t make sense to other alchemists, but that’s because she only has the given talent, and not the innate knowledge, everything just falls together appropriately for her instead of being anything that makes true sense. Think like... a dump cake, tasty, ends up perfectly fine, but absolute chaos if examined in the process of making.
One could say she’s equal parts an irritation and a source of amusement to Truth, the god of the world.

King's favorite characters and why?
Greed/Greedling - King appreciates his willingness to admit he wants it all, and also his ability to give up his forever to benefit the one human he bonded to.
Roy Mustang - Honestly? He's just a vibe. His strength and power, all while being able to admit that he needs people- King just adores watching him, he looks like a wet kitten in the rain and something about that brings a smile to their face. It definitely amuses her that she's taller than him.
Edward Elric - He's foolish but something about that endears King to them, the genius, the arrogance, and then the ability to continue on even at the risk of it all. King knows they would've made the same mistakes if they were him, and they're grateful they don't have the opportunity to make such mistakes.

The Sea Will Set You Free

King quite literally dived into the One Piece world. Having decided they wanted to explore a new world and exactly how to do it, King spent some of their money scheduling a sky diving gig under their mother's knowledge. Using their mother's connections, they made sure the people on the plane were people who Ren had paid excellent money to stay quiet about the on-goings of what was about to happen. King then would dive out, free falling through the world, and forcing their curse to take them to another mid fall. Their backpack wasn't a parachute, but their typical backpack.
This is all a very fun idea, but King failed to consider just how hard the transition would be on their body, to appear in a world where many races lived... They never considered they wouldn't be just a human.
Upon crashing into the deep waters of the South Blue sea, King had no time to even resurface before the change began. Bubbles surfaced where they were underwater, screams of pain, and then the change underwent as quick as lightning zipping through their bones. They were changing races to encourage their survival in the world.
King’s race becomes Half Mermaid and Half Human in this world. They are now capable of transforming into a mermaid in the salt water and gaining their speed and agility in the water as well as talking to fish and other average mermaid abilities.
King’s mertype is sea serpent, having an extremely long tail, the tail length reaching 36ft (11m). Making their full mermaid form length 39'11" (12.1m).
They are capable of retaining a human form on land at 5'11" and most things humans are capable of doing combined with their default verse abilities. But due to the nature of being a half mermaid, as soon as they submerge underwater, they transform. Which is to say, when hiding their identity they stay clear of submerging water.
Haki was also granted to them from the transformation, but due to their unfamiliarity, King is not very efficient in using it. On instinct they can recognize the signatures of people they become close to with observation Haki, but only within a 5m radius (roughly 15 feet). Armament Haki is hard for them to maintain for long term, but they can flash it across their skin to protect themselves from attacks that aren’t buffed with Haki, but they aren't particularly great at fending off other haki attacks without just outright having to dodge and pray.

Long story short: King encountered Doflamingo, and despite not trusting him, eventually reached a breaking point and realized that as bad as he was, he was there. And no one else was. He may only be interested at first due to King's apparent immortality, but King falls in love with him regardless. In the end- King decides "What's one doomed narrative among all the worlds I've ever been to... This one can fall, it's fine." And decides they're going to help him doom the world by helping him win, even as he may "fall" King will pick him back up and further his ambitions and plans.
King in this version of the world is a villain. They don't always think it's the best choice, but after a certain point, you just do what you have to. And maybe it's more fun than it should be. They never back down from taking the darkest path needed to give their love his rightful crown.

King's favorite characters and why?
Portgas D. Ace - Why? He was angry. An angry child who had so much that he lost, and so much that he loved and all that he was afraid to ask for. They loved the way he protected what he loved, grieved what he lost, and owned up to mistakes that weren't even his in the first place. They cried for an entire week after his death in the series.
Sanji Vinsmoke - It took time for this one. Repeatedly King didn't find him to be their favorite, but over time- King ended up enjoying his story more and more. At first, it was his undercover actions in Alabasta arc, then it was his actions in Skypiea arc, and eventually reaching a point where they settled into the Dressrosa arc- and decided that he was indeed their favorite and it was well past time to stop fighting it.

001 King’s birth name is a masculine name, and was given with the idea that names given at birth are a temporary gift, not something to stress over. The idea being that you’re meant to pick your own when you come into who you are. King just chose to start responding to their middle name instead.
002 They never go anywhere without their backpack after their fall at 15. They have went through 11 different backpacks, and their current backpack is only about six months old. (year: 2044)
003 King’s favorite sweet treat is tangy lemon bars.
004 They don’t share the knowledge willingly, but they’re mildly allergic to cucumbers. It causes them to feel nauseous, with a tight throat if consumed, or sniffly and watery-eyed if it gets in their nose or eyes.
005 King has slight Athazagoraphoia, which is a fear of being forgotten, or of forgetting someone or something.
006 King has a natural pheromone scent- it is a heavy dragon's blood incense (amber) scent laced with the rich floral after tones of magnolia leaves.

It’s never easy, it’s always a sudden shift in their mindset.
013 King will never write stories or draw art, because due to how their ability works, they know if they did, it would make them a god of a world and they really don't want that responsibility.
